Republican Mock Nominating Convention 2012

Circle and Stars       "Right Party, Right Time!"

Mock Convention is an Ohio Wesleyan tradition that dates back to 1884. To ensure a lively debate and healthy competition between candidates, the Mock represents the party not in control of the White House with the aim of predicting that party's presidential nominee for the coming election. It is designed both as an educational experience and as a social event so that participants with various party affiliations can interact and discuss a wide range of policy issues with each other. Prior political knowledge is not necessary.

The most recent convention took place in Gray Chapel on Friday, February 10th through Saturday, February 11th.  The students, faculty, alumni, and Delaware community members acted as state delegates and nominated a Mitt Romney-Stephen Colbert ticket for the Republican party.
